PEIL FAOI 17: Everybody is invited to come along to Saturday night’s very special occasion (7pm) in the clubhouse to honour our minor footballers.

They’ll be presented with their Minor County League (Division 1) winners’ medals and their Minor Club Championship winners’ medals. We look forward to greeting parents, family, friends and club members. An historic occasion as minor medals aren’t easily won!

SCÓR na bPÁISTÍ: Calling all courageous primary school pupils! Who wants to enter Scór. Can you sing? Play music? Like to be in a quiz team of four? Tralee District finals will take place in February.

The county final will take place on March 23rd 2024. The competition will end at county level. Competitions will be divided into 3 categories: 1…dancing; 2…music and singing; 3…storytelling/recitation and sketch. Now is the time to prepare for Scór na bPáistí ‘24.

MOUNTHAWK – College Football: (i) The Mercy Mounthawk senior team (U19) put in a great performance v Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne last Friday in Group 1 of the Corn Uí Mhuirí (Munster Colleges) competition. The Rockmen on board: Michael Tansley, Pádraig Ó hAllmharáin, Jack Ó Murchú, Ben Ó Murchú, Daniel Ó Ciarba, James Fisher, Paidí Ó Laighin, Noah Townsend.

(ii) The Mounthawk boy’s next big challenge is the final of the Corn Uí Shúilleabháin (Kerry Colleges) senior football competition v Coláiste Bréanainn. A ‘big’ game! Guímid gach rath orthu.

(iii) The Mounthawk U16½ lads, having been pipped for the Dunloe Cup, look forward to challenging for The Shield. AN GAELCHOLÁISTE – College Hurling: (i) Sos ó na cluichí ach bhíomar fós gníomhach an tseachtain seo i nGCC! De hAoine ghlac ár laochra páirt i rás cúig chiliméadar na scoile. Bhí Gavin Ó Cathasaigh agus Rory Ó Loinsigh i measc na rásaithe in a testing but enjoyable comórtas timpeall an champais!

THE GREEN – College Football: (i) The Green CBS U19s weren’t so successful v Baile an Easpaig last week in the Corn Uí Mhuirí competition (Group 4). They challenged Bandon High School on Tuesday (28th).

The Rockmen on the team: Thomas Deregee; Fionnán Ryan; Ronan Carroll; Olivier Lata; Ryan O’Driscoll, Donnacha Horgan; Seán Óg Ó Brosnacháin.

(ii) The Green U16½ team is finished with the Dunloe Cup (Kerry). The Rock connections on the panel: Fionnán Ryan, Seán Óg Brosnan, Ronan Carroll, Máirtín McKivergan, Ryan O’Driscoll, Oliver Lata, Aodhán Horgan.
