THE ROCK ALL-STARS: The Rock All-Stars stepped out in force again on a bright and sunny Sunday morning. There was great anticipation in the air with the big match of the afternoon in peoples’ minds but important things had to be attended to first in Connolly Park.

With our various stations set up and in place, everyone joined in to do an enthusiastic warm-up run under our enthusiastic head coach, Máire, who is spearheading this wonderful initiative.

Richie was teaching ball skills, giving Tim Mc a run for his money. We had bouncing, throwing in the air and catching activities at which Kyle and Robert were outstanding troopers.

Powerful penalty kicks were being taken by all; Seanie O’Shea and his Kerry warriors would’ve been proud to see the skill and determination demonstrated by our All-Stars. Thomas and Jamie led the way through the obstacle course….going through the tunnel, jumping through hoops and zigzagging like professionals. Gearóid loved the finale with the parachute flying high in the sky. Based on today’s performance by our All-Stars, a few could be called up to tog out against Galway in a week’s time! Up the Rock!

Please join us again on Sunday morning next at 10am at the Austin Stack Club pitch in Connolly Park. The All-Stars initiative is open to all children, boys and girls, with a diagnosis. Fáilte roimh chách. Eolas/information: please contact Sarah (087-281 0239) or Sandra (087-294 6658). (Sarah Spillane).
