U14 Boys
Co. League U14 Boys Division 8 Semi Final Match
Tuesday 5th May 2026 | Ballymac GAA
Ballymac 2-12 Glenbeigh/Glencar/Cromane 5-13
On a dry Tuesday evening in Ballymac, the home side faced Glenbeigh/Glencar/Cromane in the U14 Division 8 semi final. Playing into a slight breeze in the first half, Ballymac were put under early pressure.
Glenbeigh started fastest and showed physicality all over the pitch. They dominated the opening exchanges and led 1-3 to 0-1 after 10 minutes.
Ballymac responded with a few positional switches and worked their way back into the game with some well taken scores.
At half time the score stood at Ballymac 2-5, Glenbeigh/Glencar/Cromane 2-11.
Glenbeigh again started the second half strongly and got goals at key moments that ultimately proved decisive.
Ballymac lost a couple of players to injury and a few refereeing decisions did not go their way. The home side found it difficult to break down a strong, physical Glenbeigh defence.
Despite the challenges, Ballymac’s attitude could not be faulted. The lads kept playing good football even when things went against them.
Ballymac stuck at it and never threw in the towel right to the final whistle.
U14 Girls
U14 girls played Scart/ Cordal in preliminary co league in Ballymac this evening . Scart /Cordal proved stronger on the night . However in a game that the wind had a big influence we had strong performances from Grace Leonard and Lucy o Connor in defence . Katie Anna O Connor & Sadie Lynch at midfield and Aobha Bolger up front .
Senior Ladies
Credit Union Donal Curtin County League Division 2 Round 5 v Fossa.
An earlier appointment this week again due to Munster Final, meant that this intriguing fixture between two sides that were only separated by a single point in the 2025 Semi Final, met at a sunny but windswept Ballymac at 10am.
A very tight first half left just 5 points in it at the short whistle 1-10 to 1-5. The moving quarter is the third quarter and our ladies really stepped up here to put the game out of reach, with two more very well taken goals.
With every squad member given game time ahead of a very busy schedule over the next few weeks, we finished up at 3-14 to 1-9, to send our ladies in great form to the Fitzgerald Stadium double header, where they enjoyed a great double header victory over the old rivals. #ballymacabú
U10 Boys
The u10s made the long trip to Glenbeigh on Wednesday 5th for their second game of the season. The lads played two games and showed once again the massive progress they are making this year. With a lot of players away it was great to give game time to some of our u8s.
