U12 Girls Go Games
A huge thanks to the team and supporters that travelled to Ballyduff for our Lee strand u12 round 7 go games where we were up against a very talented Ballyduff side .
We played two games side by side , ten a side and nine a side on a blustery and changeable night, thankfully the rain stayed away and allowed the girls to enjoy the games.
Both teams gave it everything and it was a fantastic end to end display from all involved .
Their individual and combined link up play was a joy to watch .
Some fantastic scoring from both teams considering how breezy it was, huge credit to all the girls.
Really great defensive and attacking passages that overall lead to two very enjoyable games to watch .
U10 Boys Go Games
On Wednesday July 1st our u10 boys travelled to Rathmore to kick off phase 2 of their Go Games fixtures. Despite a number of lads being away on holidays, we brought 20 players including some of our u8s. Each team played 3 games so about 45 mins game game in total.
Another really good evenings work from the group who are progressing every week. Their workrate & team spirit is excellent and is a great foundation for everything they do. Its always encouraging to see elements being worked on in training being applied in games.
Busy schedule coming up for them with another Go Game at home to Fossa on the 15th and two other blitz coming up. All the lads were reminded afterwards to keep up the practice at home over the summer holidays.

County League Division 3B– Match Report
Ballymac 5-14
Kilgarvan 3-04
Ballymac produced an impressive all-round performance to record a convincing 5-14 to 3-04 victory over Kilgarvan in ideal conditions on a sunny evening in Ballymac.
The home side took control from the opening whistle, moving the ball with pace and purpose to build a commanding 10-point advantage by half-time. Although Ballymac went through a brief spell midway through the opening half where they lost some of their momentum, they remained firmly in control and always looked the more dangerous side.
Any hopes of a Kilgarvan comeback were quickly extinguished after the restart as Ballymac came out with renewed intensity. They set out their stall early in the second half, tightened up defensively and took their scoring chances to put the game beyond doubt long before the final whistle.
The result leaves Ballymac with one win and one defeat from their opening two County League fixtures, placing them in a strong position as they look to challenge for a semi-final berth.
There were excellent performances all over the field. The full-back line of Finn Hannah, Tadhg O’Connor and Keelan Burke were outstanding, defending resolutely throughout and providing a solid foundation for the victory.
Gearóid Joy covered every blade of grass from wing-back with his trademark work rate, while Eric Quirke produced a tireless display in midfield, winning possession and driving Ballymac forward at every opportunity.
Further up the field, Rory O’Connor, Jamie Harrington and Jack Hobbert all impressed with their attacking play, while Patrick Leen continued his excellent run of form with another superb performance, proving once again to be one of Ballymac’s most influential players.
Ballymac will now turn their attention to their next County League fixture, when they travel to take on Dr. Crokes on Thursday, 9th July, as they look to build on this excellent victory.
