U14 girls
NK league div 4 Rd 3 Ballymac 2-8 Duagh 2-1 .
Following on from our win over Abbeydorney last week we played Duagh in Ballymac on Tuesday last. . Despite playing against a breeze in first half the girls gave a great tour de force performance in 1st half going in 2-6 to 1-1. Led by Aisling O Keeffe and Sadie Lynchs workrate from midfield our forwards got some good scores , Aobha Bolger rattled off 1-4 , Jasmine 1-0 , Shona O Neill 0-1 & Aisling O Keefe 0-1 .
This coupled with great defending by Aoibheann Joy , Doireann Broderick and Sadie Murphy . Halftime came with a heavy shower of rain and continued sporadically for the 2nd half, making ball handling difficult enough.
It resulted in a scrappy 2nd half where we added 2pts to Duaghs goal but the application and effort of both teams was great to see . It was great to see 23 girls togged out tonight and all got game time and all contributed. Thanks also to the U12s that came and played their parts . We have a league final to look forward to next week.
U10 GO GAMES – BALLYMAC v DR. CROKES
What a brilliant evening of football on Wednesday last!
Three Ballymac teams took on three Dr. Crokes teams in nine hugely competitive and entertaining games. There was fantastic energy from start to finish, with plenty of teamwork, great skills, and some excellent passages of play on display!
It was especially encouraging to see the improvement and development in the Ballymac players, with some fantastic team moves and well-worked scores throughout the games.
A big well done to all the players who gave it their all and, most importantly, enjoyed their football!
Thanks to the number of Under 8s who played up and thanks to Dr. Crokes for nine great games and for making it such an enjoyable evening.
The future is bright!
