BON Secours Hospital Tralee (BSHT) has announced it is the main sponsor of the Jerry Kiernan 5K, hosted by Lios Tuathail AC, which will take place on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at 1pm in Listowel.
The event celebrates the legacy of the late Listowel native Jerry Kiernan, one of Ireland’s most respected distance runners and Olympians, whose achievements continue to inspire runners of all ages.
The race has become one of Kerry’s premier road racing events, welcoming elite athletes, club runners, joggers, walkers and first-time participants.

The Bon Secours Jerry Kiernan 5K offers a fast, flat course designed for athletes aiming for personal bests, while also providing an inclusive event for everyone looking to take part and enjoy the atmosphere.
