EY’s ‘Four Futures’, an immersive, science-led experience first unveiled at COP28, opened at the RDI Hub in Killorglin this morning, marking the first time the experience has come to Kerry. Supported by Fexco and RDI Hub, it will run from September 22 to 24.
Four Futures invites policymakers, business leaders, and stakeholders to step into the year 2055 and explore four radically different scenarios for the future of our economy, society and natural environment, each shaped by the decisions we make today.
Developed by EY’s Climate Change and Sustainability Services team, Four Futures brings climate science to life through immersive storytelling, helping participants understand the real‑world consequences of both action and inaction.

Across a series of plausible future‑focused scenarios, the experience challenges individuals and organisations to reflect on their personal and collective role in shaping outcomes for people, planet and long‑term prosperity.
Rather than predicting what will happen, the experience is designed to provoke discussion, reflection and leadership on the choices that still lie within our control.
Derarca Dennis, EY Ireland Assurance Partner and Sustainability Services Lead, said: “Kerry is home to some of Ireland’s most innovative businesses, many of which operate across sectors already seeing the effects of climate-related disruption, from food production and tourism to technology and the green economy.”
“Four Futures provides an opportunity to step back from the day-to-day and consider what resilience looks like in practice. The experience challenges participants to think differently about the decisions being made today and how they could influence not only their organisations, but also the wider economy and communities of the future.”
Fergal Brosnan, CEO of RDI Hub, said: “Bringing Four Futures to Kerry strongly aligns with the RDI’s strategy, with sustainability one of our four core pillars. The fact that an experience first launched at COP28 is now coming to Kerry, through our partnership with EY and Fexco, sends an important message: location should never be an inhibitor to innovation, inclusion or meaningful engagement with the major challenges shaping our future.”
