CAHERLEAHEEN National School held a community fundraiser over the past six weeks in support of their upcoming playground development.
This initiative brought families and staff together for a walking, jogging and running challenge at John Mitchels GAA Club every Wednesday evening.
Over the course of the six weeks, families and friends took part in both 2km and 5km challenges, enjoying the opportunity to get active together while supporting this valuable project.

Refreshments, treats and great chat-time followed every fun-run, before tired little legs were ferried home for bedtime.

The aim of this fundraiser is to help raise €30,000 towards the completion of our playground — a facility that will also be accessible to the wider community with the support of Kerry County Council Community funding, creating a valuable shared space for local families to enjoy.
The school thanked all at John Mitchels GAA Club for the use their facilities and to the children, parents, guardians and supporters who participated and contributed to the sponsor cards.
