Celebrated Author To Grace ‘The OtherSide’ This Month

THE man behind the legendary character Ross O’Carroll Kelly, will be chatting about his famous creation and other work at the next edition of The OtherSide chat show taking place on Friday, October 27 at Benners Hotel.

Paul Howard is best known as the creator of the iconic fictional rugby jock whose exploits have been the subject of sixteen novels, which have collectively sold more than one million copies in Ireland alone.

He is a four-time Irish Book Award winner, including winning the best non-fiction award in 2016, for his book ‘I Read the News Today, Oh Boy’.

The book tells the amazing story of Guinness heir, Tara Browne who was a socialite in London in the swinging 60s, before tragically dying in a car crash at 21.

His death subsequently became the subject of one of The Beatles most famous songs ‘A Day in the Life’.

Over a varied career Paul also wrote the script for the successful show ‘Anglo – The Musical’, and previously was one of Ireland’s foremost sports writers, winning Irish sports journalist of the year in 1998.

Paul will be discussing the story of Tara Browne, Ross and other aspects of his career at the next The OtherSide show on Friday, October  27 at Benners Hotel, from 8.30pm.

The team behind The OtherSide will also be announcing more great guests over the course of the next week. It promises to be the best show to date.
