RECOVERY Haven Kerry welcomed Lorraine Šebestová and John Paul O’Connor on Thursday last where they handed over €18,004 to the facility and to Karen Lovett of the children’s palliative care suite/Cashel Ward at UHK.

The funds were raised from their Carrauntoohil For Cancer climb back in May.  The climb was in memory of Lorraine’s daughter, Lily Anna, who passed away after a brave battle against cancer back in November 2024.

“We are so overwhelmed by the amount of money raised, and are so grateful to Lorriane and John Paul for their incredible effort in organising this event and in garnering so much support from all over Kerry and beyond,” said Marisa Reidy, PR and Marketing Officer with Recovery Haven Kerry.

“We always knew that little Lily would bring out the best in people, and that this event would be hugely supported, but it surpassed all our expectations and has truly blown us away.”

“We just want to say a massive thank you to every single person who donated and climbed and who contributed in any way to a phenomenal day,” added Marisa.
