GET down to The Mall this Saturday for a very special coffee and fashion fundraiser at Paco from 11am to 2pm.
Store manager Eileen Whelan frequently hosts such fundraisers, but this one has an added poignancy in light of a recent bereavement.
Eileen decided to choose the Kerry Hospice Foundation as her chosen charity as she sadly lost her brother, Edmond Whelan, to cancer back in early July. Edmond received amazing care at the Palliative Care Unit at UHK prior to his passing.

“I just wanted to give something back and say thank you for everything they did for both him and us as a family. They’re just walking angels there, it’s a fantastic service. When you need it, it’s unbelievable to have it,” said Eileen.
“We have a fantastic fashion show coming this Saturday. We have a range of special guests including Mayor of Tralee Angie Baily and Deputies Michael Healy Rae and Pa Daly, along with Minister Norma Foley. The Lakeside Cafe are doing the catering so a big thank you to Margaret Kissane for that,” added Eileen, who also thanked her friends with their help in organising the event.
There will be a DJ outside the store, with models including Anne O’Donnell, Mary Gardiner, Kelsey Moore and more wearing the latest fashions. Call down and support a great cause if you can.
