THREE Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí students have been selected to represent Ireland in the Junk Kouture World Final.

Isabel Jensen and twin sisters Isla and Faye Nic Mhuiris were one of the 12 Irish teams selected at the National Finals held at the Helix in Dublin last week.

Their remarkable ‘Net-Zero’ entry is made from plastic composite wind turbine shell and was months in the making. It got through the regional finals earlier this year and competed against 69 other entries last week.

“It’s absolutely incredible to have gotten this far,” said Faye Nic Mhuiris. “Last year we only got to the national finals so to get to the Worlds is amazing.”

While there’s no date or location announced yet for the World event, the girls will be making small improvements and perfecting their design while they wait.
