The money raised via Christmas Jumper Day is used to fund a number of St Vincent de Paul projects right across Kerry, including Christmas food hampers, Santa gifts for children who are homeless and in direct provision , Christmas Day Meals on Wheels and the Kerry Education Fund.

St Vincent de Paul operate a donation centre in Tralee, seven stores across their Conference areas  in Tralee, Castleisland, Listowel, Killorglin, Killarney Abbeyfeale with a new shop opening in Dingle this month.

While the usual Christmas Day Meals on Wheels service will be in operation this year, thanks to the generosity of the priests of St John’s Church, St Vincent de Paul will open the doors of the Parish Centre to invite people living on their own or who find themselves homeless to partake of Christmas Day dinner and entertainment between 2 and 4pm.

This year you are also encouraged to bring your old Christmas Jumpers to your local St Vincent de Paul shop and to buy this year’s jumper there!

This year the event will be supported by Homefire Supertherm Fuels who sell through outlets across Kerry.
