Siamsa Tire
Siamsa Tire in Tralee.

OUR very own Siamsa Tíre has been nominated for the IMRO Munster Live Music Venue 2014 and you can play your part in edging them towards success.

They face stiff competition from the other nominees, Dolan’s Limerick, Coughlan’s in Cork, De Barra’s Clonakilty, and University Concert Hall, Limerick.

The IMRO Awards recognise the Irish venues which deliver the very best standards in live music entertainment.

Hundreds of venues across Ireland qualified for the awards and more than 10,000 IMRO members were asked to vote for their top choices in an online poll.

Venues all around the country have been judged on their ambience, staging, sound and lighting facilities, the diversity of their music programming along with the staff and management at each venue and the work they undertake in promoting the venue and its programme of music events.

The awards serve to acknowledge the immense efforts that have been made right across Ireland by various music Venues. The awards also serve to highlight the significant role the venues play in providing a public platform for Irish songwriters and performers.

The Irish Rights Music Organisation (IMRO) is now offering the public the chance to have their voices heard in the 2014 honours roll where one lucky voter will be chosen at random to receive a prize of a ‘Samsung Galaxy Tab 3’.

Voting ends on the second of February so all readers are encouraged to get behind this fantastic local venue and get voting here!
