Under 14 Girls

With a League Semi-final against Beale coming up this week, preparations for the game were very intense last week, as training sessions and challenge games were the order of the day.

We were delighted that the John Mitchels u16s were able to play us in a challenge game on Monday night. It was great to get a competitive game under our belts, and the girls never stood back in what was a tough game, with both teams looking to take the win.

On Wednesday night, we have the fortune of Kerry Senior Mens Football Trainer Arthur Fitzgerald taking the squad for a training session.

For almost 90 minutes, Arthur put the girls through their paces, with the emphasis on acceleration and ball retention. It was very useful and both players and coaches took something from it.

Our sincere thanks to Arthur for giving up his time and we would like to wish him the very best of luck on his upcoming nuptials.

We are down to play Beale in Ballybunion on Tuesday night in the league semi-final at 7pm. We have already played in the league itself and won out in a tough game at home, so this will be a difficult challenge. The winners get to play Legion in the Final, and we will also be looking to meet with them again.

Under 16 Girls

The Girl’s had a busy week put down with an inhouse game Monday night in preparation for a challenge game Wednesday evening focusing on kick out possession / strategies and taking the opportunity to score when it’s on.

Wednesday the girls played a challenge game at home V Laune Rangers U16s which was a very physically demanding game with the girls playing with every ounce of energy in their bodies.

Laune Rangers were pushing through on the scoreboard as our defense tightened up throughout the game making it difficult for the opposition to score. Up front, the girls worked some lovely plays in turn delivering on the scoreboard. Ultimately, we held out strong to secure a 1 point win. End score 2-3 to 1-5

John Mitchels Under 9s who played Blennerville

Under 9 Boys

The u9 boys played St Pats on Sunday morning in what was a fantastic display and show of football from both sides. All teams were very eager to display and show off their skills in what was a fantastic morning of football.

Coaches from both sides were very proud and happy and the tough training is paying off with all players putting in a great shift. Well done everyone and we look forward to heading to Blennerville in the next few weeks for a return game.

Under 11 Boys

We had a solid training session last Thursday and Sunday when we concentrated on kicking and passing. The boys put in a great effort which will stand to us as we go into our next few matches.

Next Thursday we have an away game against Milltown Castlemaine at 7pm and the following Sunday we will train in Ballyseedy at 10.30.

Under 13 Boys

No games took place this weekend for either team, we trained extremely well midweek in anticipation of our last group game for the Gold team and a Central league semifinal with Ardfert this week.

Under 15 Boys

On Wednesday last we played St maurs from Dublin in a friendly match we were missing quite a few players due to county commitments the weather wasn’t too kind on the night either but we played some good football despite this and struck up some good friendships we’ll be in touch about training through whatts app na misteallaig Abu
