Jonno Brien To Support The Legendary Pete Tong In INEC Tonight

A TRALEE man will provide the support act to a legendary figure in the dance music scene tonight at the Gleneagle INEC in Killarney.

Pete Tong  brings his world famous show featuring the Essential Orchestra to the venue on Friday night.

For more than three decades, he has helped shape club culture around the world as a DJ, broadcaster, producer and tastemaker, earning his place as one of the most influential and enduring figures in electronic music.

He’ll be supported by Jonno Brien from Tralee playing a classic all-vinyl set. Jonno, as a young dance music enthusiast, used to record Pete’s BBC Radio One show while he was doing a course in Cork back in 1995/96.

As a budding DJ, Jonno wanted to find out about new music and said he couldn’t pick up BBC Radio One in Tralee back then. Jonno said it’s an honour to play alongside one of the biggest names in dance music.

Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics has travelled the world, playing to more than 750,000 fans at landmark venues including The Hollywood Bowl, Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl, London’s O2 Arena, Blenheim Palace, Manchester AO Arena and even The King’s Coronation Concert.
