Minor County League Div 1A
Laune Rangers 0-20. Kerins O Rahillys 0-13
On Monday evening we played our final round robin fixture away to a very strong Laune Rangers outfit in Killorglin.
The home side opened the scoring , but we quickly replied with four  points of our own and led by four points to one at the water break. Playing with the assistance of a very strong breeze we added to our tally as both sides  traded points to bring the score to eight points to five at the half time break in favour of O Rahillys.
That lead would have been a lot more were it not for a lot of wasted possession and some poor deliveries to our inside line.
The start of the second half the home team made far better use of the wind advantage and after only six minutes were on level terms.
They continued to be far more economic in possession and went into a lead that they were never to relinquish.
While we continued to battle throughout, the hosts showed their quality and strength in depth running out comfortable winners in the end.
Best on the night were Eric McMahon and Jake Foley in defence, Ben O Brien won a lot of primary ball at midfield , while up front Gearoid Meehan, Thomas Kennedy and Darragh O Connor tried hard and were our scorers in chief.
We now move on to the Under 17 Central League Division 1.
We are in a group with Laune Rangers, Austin Stacks and Ardfert.
Next Fixture Monday June 28th @ 7pm away to Austin Stacks.
