County Senior Championship – St. Brendan’s
Hard luck to our Kerins O’Rahillys players involved with the St. Brendan’s representative side, who suffered a narrow one-point defeat in their opening game of the Kerry Senior Football County Championship on Saturday. Facing West Kerry in Paddy Kennedy Park, Annascaul, St. Brendan’s were edged out on a 0-21 to 2-14 scoreline after a tremendous contest.
Credit to our club man Micheál Quirke and his management team on a huge effort. St. Brendan’s will look to bounce back in the next round as they take on North Kerry.
Junior Men – McElligott Cup Thriller
Our Senior B team were involved in an absolute epic in Fossa on Sunday in the McElligott Cup semi-final. Having trailed by eight points during the opening period, Strand Road produced a magnificent second-half display to overturn the deficit and lead by six points, before Fossa struck a late goal to level the game at 5-13 to 3-19 at the end of normal time.
The high-scoring drama continued into extra time, but Fossa eventually edged clear to take the victory, 4-27 to 6-15. Huge credit to the players and management on an incredible effort and an unforgettable game of football.

U12 Boys Season Wrap: Our U12 boys wrapped up their season with an enjoyable away trip to Churchill. Both of our teams put in high-quality performances, marking a great finish to a fantastic year of development and team spirit. Afterward, the boys were generously treated to food and drinks in Charlie’s Bar—sincere thanks to Margaret and Sean for their generous hospitality!
U8 Girls Blitz: Our U8 girls enjoyed a fantastic, action-packed week of football. They lined out in a great blitz in Connolly Park alongside Austin Stacks and Na Gaeil, showing brilliant teamwork, sharp tackling, and excellent block-downs. Well done to all the girls and coaches!
