Senior Ladies

Our Senior Ladies brought their Donal Curtin County League campaign to a close with the Division 3 final clash against Austin Stacks at Caherslee. Unfortunately, it wasn’t our night. Things got off to a less than ideal start when two of our starting full-back line had to be withdrawn early with injuries.

The Stacks girls put in a solid, consistent performance and converted their chances. Despite a valiant effort from our players, who fought until the end, we simply couldn’t get a grip on the game. Well done to Stacks, who were worthy winners.

Our players were obviously gutted to lose the final, but let’s not lose sight of the fact that they were only beaten twice in the entire League campaign, which is a remarkable achievement.

We’ve secured promotion to Division 2 and there’s lots to be positive about. Well done to every player who lined out, including the subs, all of whom acquitted themselves well when introduced.

We will re-group next week and start preparing for the championship. Get well soon to Taylor Kate Leane, who was having a great game and was one of our stand-out players when she had to withdraw due to a head injury.

Team: Kelly Fitzgerald, Hollie Leane, Saoirse McCarthy, Mia Molloy, Lia McLysaght, Keelan Coffey, Jocelyn Cushen, Emma McCarthy, Lily Breen, Taylor Kate Leane, Sophie Hassett, Aoibhinn McCarthy, Aoife O’Connell, Cliodhna Hayes, Ella Breen.
Subs: Donna McGovern, Alva Daughton, Taylor Stack, Carragh Houlihan, Anna Corridon, Chloe O’Sullivan, Aoife O’Connor.

All-Ireland Final Bound!

A massive congratulations to the Kerry Senior Football team and management on their brilliant 2−18 to 0−20 victory over Dublin in Croke Park to secure their spot in the All-Ireland Final!

We are incredibly proud of our own Tomás Kennedy, who made a fantastic impact after coming off the bench.

Tomás scored a vital point from play and won a crucial break shortly after to help set up the insurance point that sealed the win.

The very best of luck to Tomás and the entire Kerry squad as they prepare for the All-Ireland Final in two weeks’ time!
