Inter-County Commiserations
Sincere commiserations to both the Kerry Senior Men’s and Senior Women’s football teams following their respective All-Ireland Final defeats.
While the results didn’t go our way in Croke Park, both squads showed immense effort, skill, and dedication throughout their campaigns, and everyone at Strand Road remains immensely proud of their achievements this season. 🟢🟡

U14 Boys: Massive congratulations to our U14 boys on a fantastic win over Ballyduff in the Central League during the week.
U12 Girls: Our U12 girls put on a brilliant display in Ballyrickard during a high-quality, pulsating Go Game against visiting side Fossa GAA.
Thanks to Fossa for making the journey over.
Summer Camp 2026: A sincere thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s Summer Camp such a resounding success!
The week finished on high energy with our annual “All-Ireland Friday” competition, where New York edged out Antrim in the final, Galway claimed the Tailteann Cup, and Kerry secured the Munster title. A visit from the ice cream van provided the perfect finish to an outstanding week of football in the sun. 🍦
Mothers & Others
Our Mothers & Others team hosted Ballymacelligott GAA for a fantastic, friendly match played in wonderful spirits.
The evening perfectly captured what the initiative is all about—fun, staying active, and community friendships—rounded off with a great chat over a cup of tea afterwards. Huge thanks to Ballymac for travelling over!
Charlie’s Bar
Charlie’s Bar was buzzing over the Bank Holiday Weekend! Food service was in full swing, along with the launch of the brand-new Members Wine range. Live music on Saturday night capped off a great long weekend at the club.
