Senior Men’s Championship – Round 3
Our Senior team suffered a 1-23 to 0-12 defeat against a clinical Beaufort side at Strand Road on Saturday evening in the final round of the Kerry Petroleum Intermediate Club Championship group stages.
Despite an energetic start from the Blues featuring scores from Darragh O’Connor, Barry John Keane, and Conor Hayes, Beaufort’s long-range accuracy and a late first-half goal saw them take a 1-13 to 0-7 interval lead.
Strand Road battled hard in the second period, highlighted by a fine two-pointer from Tomás Kennedy, but the Mid Kerry outfit kept control of the scoreboard.
In the group’s other encounter, Castleisland Desmonds defeated Glenflesk, resulting in a three-way tie for second place on two points apiece between Kerins O’Rahillys, Glenflesk, and Desmonds.
On score difference, Glenflesk (-3) advanced to the quarter-finals, while Strand Road (-6) finished in 3rd place to secure our intermediate championship status for 2027.

Senior Ladies Championship
Our Senior Ladies faced a tough test in Ballyrickard on Sunday afternoon in their second championship outing against a strong Listowel side.
Playing in very warm conditions, the team trailed 2-4 to 1-2 at half-time before striking an early second-half goal to cut the deficit to three.
Listowel replied swiftly, however, and despite relentless effort right to the final whistle, the game ended 5-9 to 2-5 in favour of the visitors.
This followed an opening round heartbreaker the previous weekend away to Kilcummin, where a huge second-half fightback saw the girls draw level with five minutes remaining, only to fall by the minimum, 0-14 to 2-7.
The ladies now turn their focus to a must-win home clash against Dingle in two weeks’ time in Ballyrickard.

Juvenile & Academy Action
U10 Community Games: Huge congratulations to the Blennerville/Ballyard U10 boys football team, who achieved 3rd place in Ireland at the National Community Games! We are immensely proud of the large contingent of Kerins O’Rahillys players who played a key part in this fantastic national achievement.

U13 Player Development Programme: Well done to Aoife Carey, Addison Quirke, and Lilly Lacey, who represented Kerins O’Rahillys as part of the Tralee/West Kerry squad at the U13 Player Development Programme blitz in Adare.
U16 Girls: Our U16 girls produced a magnificent second-half comeback to defeat Fossa 8-6 to 4-9 in the County League. Trailing by 12 points at the break, an astonishing 7-5 scoring blitz turned the tie around, led by Lexi (4-3 on her return from injury), Ava O’Donoghue (3-2), Nicola Corridan (1-0), and brilliant second-half saves from Amelia.
The girls face Scart/Cordal on Monday in their final league fixture before the semi-finals.

U14 Girls: The U14 girls made a winning start to their North Kerry League campaign with a 5-12 to 5-6 victory over Ballymac. Despite losing their goalkeeper to injury, the girls showed tremendous character to pull through in an entertaining contest.
U8 Boys: Our U8s hosted Fossa at Ballyrickard for a fantastic match. It was an extra special evening for Seán and his cousin Cameron Murphy (visiting from New York Rangers), who got the opportunity to pull on the blue and white jersey together.
Sunday Academy: Another great turnout in glorious weather on Sunday morning at Pat Healy Park, with huge enthusiasm and skill on display across all age grades!
