Girls Awards Night

There was an evening held in the Healy Room at the club for the U8, 10, 12 and 14 Girls on Sunday evening last. It was very well attended and entertainment was provided by Danny Leane and refreshments by Charlies.

All age groups received plaques and were thanked and praised by their mentors for the commitment shown throughout the year. The U13 girls also received their medals from the Sandra Keane Tournament.

All girls who had played with Kerry and taken part in Kerry Development squads were congratulated. Following apologies from ladies Chairman David Collins it fell to Senior Club Chairman Frank O’Connor to thank all mentors who had put in a long year.

He congratulated them on a vibrant and growing ladies club and also thanked parents for their continued support and cooperation for the club.

It will be a busy year with Féile but we are in a very healthy place with all the backing from all present so will look forward to a very entertaining weekend in June.

Coaching and Development

With ever increasing playing numbers at all ages in the Club we are always anxious to ensure that every player is given the best possible coaching in the skills of the game.

We are extremely grateful for the hard work and commitment of our members who volunteer to coach and assist in any way with each team. As in previous years we are looking for new people to get involved.

We have had a very productive 2015 and look forward to the same in 2016. This would not be possible without our volunteers.

Bearing this in mind and planning for the season ahead we would like to invite anyone who would be interested in getting involved in any team from Saturday Mornings to Minors to get in touch. “Many hands make light work”.

Coaching courses will be provided as were in other years and can also be updated. If you feel you have time to give please contact Juvenile Chairman Dinny O’Connor on 0879574410 or Senior Chairman Frank O’Connor on 0877971862. We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Looking out for our neighbours

It is that time of year when everyone is running around and busy and there may not be many club activities going on. We should take time out to remember those members who may be alone for whatever reason and take time to check on them.

Remember it is important as a club to look after our supporters and neighbours all year round. Something very simple can mean a great deal and give a moment of support and show that we care.
