.

A KERRY player recently claimed a €1,005,000 EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle top prize after discovering their winning ticket had been sitting unnoticed in their car glovebox for more than a week.

The winning ticket was sold at Centra, The Reeks, Reeks Gateway, Tralee Road, Killarney, Co. Kerry. Recalling the moment they realised they had become a millionaire, the winner said:

“I left the ticket in the car glovebox, it must’ve been sitting there for over a week! I had no idea the ticket was even there, and less so it was a ticket worth €1 million.

“I heard there had been a win in the town, and I had even been chatting to people about the win and what you would do if you ever won a prize like that! Little did I know a €1 million ticket was in my driveway!”

The winner has already started planning how they might enjoy their €1,005,000 million prize, with a Mediterranean cruise high on their wish list.

The Kerry player won the EuroMillions special ‘Ireland Only’ Raffle event, which saw a guaranteed €1,005,000 prize for one player.

As with every EuroMillions draw, ten players win €5,000 with their unique raffle ticket number, and among them was the Kerry player who had an additional €1,000,000 added to their prize.
