THE Kingdom County Show returns for its 76th year this Saturday and Sunday continuing its proud tradition as one of the county’s flagship agricultural and community events.

Taking place at Ballymacthomas just outside Tralee, the two-day event (beginning at 10am each day) will once again showcase the very best of farming, equestrian sport, local enterprise and family entertainment, attracting exhibitors and visitors from across the region.

A key feature of this year’s show is the expansion of competition classes, strengthening its offering across livestock, equestrian and home industries, and reinforcing its reputation as a progressive and competitive event within the agricultural calendar.

Highlights include Ger’s Mobile Petting Farm, a live Sheepdog Experience, a full amusements area, and a wide-ranging entertainment programme designed to appeal to all ages.

Well-known crowd favourites will also return, including the Dog Show, Bonnie Baby Competition, and Most Appropriately Dressed Lady.

In addition, An Garda Síochána, in partnership with NEWKD, will host a property marking and trailer stamping initiative, offering practical theft prevention advice and services to the public.

The showgrounds will also feature a large and diverse selection of trade stands, showcasing local businesses, agricultural services, artisan producers and rural enterprises, ensuring there is something of interest for every visitor.

This year’s chosen charity is Kerry Stars Special Olympics Club, with the show supporting their work in promoting inclusion and opportunity through sport.

Organised on a voluntary, not-for-profit basis, the Kingdom County Show remains a key date in the county calendar, celebrating agriculture, supporting local enterprise, and bringing the community together in a vibrant and inclusive setting.
