CALLING all budding and professional film-makers, the deadline to enter the Donal Walsh Live Life Film Competition is on  January 31.

This year there are three categories – Primary School, Secondary School and Adult, with 1st, 2nd and third place receiving prizes. The theme for the competition is ‘Live Life – Our World’

The competition is open to all, so if  you would like to enter, all you have to do is make a two minute film, be it on your phone or any equipment that is available to you, and upload it to You Tube and send the link to maryluceylivelife@gmail.com.

Previous short films produced by the competition were of a high standard and gave a great insight into what LiveLife means to people.

The awards presentation will take place at the Live Life Love Day in the Brandon Conference Centre, Tralee, on Wednesday, February 10.

The event, which is in its third year, will run from 11am-1pm, and is in honour of Donal, a very special teenager, who has left a lasting legacy.

Headlining on the day is Irish Folk-Rock band, Hermitage Green, and the short-listed films will also be screened with winners being announced after.

The winning entries will also be screened at the 2016 Dingle International Film Festival, which takes place between  March 17-20.

With around 1,500 attendees expected, the day will be a great one with a special atmosphere. Seating is limited so pre-booking is essential.
