IF, as expected, retail outlets will open up fully next week, the message is Manor West Retail Park is ready.

Like so many retail businesses in Kerry, it’s been extremely challenging for the over 650 people working in Manor West Retail Park, and a major focus for Centre Manager Derek Rusk has been keeping the businesses open as much as possible, while at the same time ensuring safe shopping for visitors and a safe working environment for everyone working in the retail park.

Derek said; “Many of our shops were able to remain open during the pandemic, either fully or for click and collect while others had to close. Each scenario brought its own set of challenges.

“However, we are all now working together towards opening as many of the shops’ doors in December once restrictions have been lifted.  We are putting up the decorations and planning even more safety procedures to ensure a safe and relaxing shopping experience for everyone visiting us in the build up to and during Christmas.”

Manor West, which will be celebrating its 20th birthday next year, has been a mecca for shopping since it first opened its doors back in 2001, with some of the most popular retailers in Ireland on site and over 1,000 free parking spaces.

Commenting on the fast approaching Christmas season, Derek added; “Despite everything, the whole team here at Manor West are very much looking forward to Christmas this year.  Our customers deserve a Christmas to remember and we are going to do our very best to give them that.

“Our Christmas lights will be going up and our crib will be the centre of attention and an opportunity to give back to a worthy local Charity. We are very grateful for the continued support of the Manor West customers throughout this difficult year, and we look forward to welcoming everyone through our doors this festive season”.
