The Let’s Stitch Together initiative: A creative sewing project that will support adults to build literacy, numeracy, and digital skills through hands-on learning. Targeting older adults, carers, and people with disabilities, this project promotes confidence, independence and social connection in an inclusive and engaging environment.
Many Languages, One Voice: a co-created, peer-to-peer project that will produce a series of high-quality, accessible videos across seven key languages. These videos will be narrated by members of the community who have lived experience in Ireland, helping parents navigate childcare, education and supports in Ireland through a central digital hub. This will create a lasting multilingual roadmap for new communities.
The Supporting our service users with unmet literacy needs initiative: This conference ran in early June 2026, with over 100 attendees from services across Kerry. Participants heard from Literacy Ambassador, Michael Power, whilst experts in health, numeracy, family and digital literacy gave tips on how to make sure that service users could act after a single reading of documents supplied to them. Participants went away armed with a booklet full of simple tips to make their services more literacy friendly.
