THE crowds turned out once again at the Kingdom Greyhound Stadium as the Friends of University Hospital Kerry held their annual fundraising night at the dogs.
Over €70,000 was raised at the event in 2017 enabling the hospital to buy vital equipment and it’s hoped the thousands raised last night will help purchase a specialised ultrasound for the Emergency Department, an instrument to detect infections in ulcers, a scanner to detect problems in the bladder and video equipment for the endoscopy unit.
The €5 entry was a real bargain for racegoers with some great family entertainment, music and a Best Dressed Lady Competition sponsored by Sam McCauley Chemists in Manor West Retail Park. A fantastic night for a great cause. Scroll down for photos…
