Photo by Dermot CreanA SHOWERY Sunday morning was the backdrop to a community event in the Town Park as people gathered for Blennerville Resource Centre/Mol Droichead Hub’s fundraising fun run/walk.
There was a good turnout, despite the threat of rain, for the 5km timed race and relaxing 2km walking route.
Joanne Courtney got the participants warmed up before they enthusiastically set off around the park. The event followed on from their first fun run in October 2025 which was a huge success, raising €2,000.

All money raised will be going towards programmes at the centre and organisers hope to hire different members of the local community to deliver a variety of Community Upskilling programmes.
Blennerville Resource Centre, situated on Windmill Lane in Blennerville, supports adults with intellectual disabilities to work on self-development, volunteering opportunities, community work, or seeking connections for employment.
Since their last event in October, Mol Droichead Hub has moved to their own building across the road from Austin Stack Park Mol Droichead Hub supports school leavers with transitioning from secondary school. Scroll down for photos…
