THE annual St. Brendan The Navigator Festival took place in Fenit from Wednesday to Sunday last week.

Fenit and surrounding communities proudly hosted the Festival which was a celebration of heritage, adventure and community in honour of Kerry’s patron saint.

All festival events were organised by the St Brendan Heritage Committee Fenit in collaboration with the local community. It invited locals and visitors alike to reconnect with Kerry’s rich seafaring roots and celebrate the enduring legacy of curiosity and courage that St. Brendan represents.

The flagship event – the legendary St Brendan Community Parade & Sailing Race took place on Friday while on Saturday  the feast day started with a series of popular early morning events at Lockes’ beach, including a sunrise dip, dawn mass, yoga and fitness events.
