THE annual Mercy Mounthawk Student Awards took place at the school sports hall on Tuesday night with a plethora of honours handed out to scores of students.
“We were delighted to see such a huge turnout this year for our awards night,” said Deputy Principal Pat Fleming. “That is probably a testament to the students themselves but also shows the commitment their families have to their children.
With so many superb students it can be very difficult to single anybody out sometimes but there is no doubt about the students taking the top honours here tonight. They have really seized every opportunity that a school like Mounthawk can provide.”

“It is an emotional night too as we begin the process of saying farewell to the class of 2023. The fantastic music performance at the end of the ceremony tonight is just a small indicator of what this group has brought to the life of our school. They will be dearly missed,” added Mr Fleming.
