Photo by Dermot CreanIT was a fabulous two days of fun at O’Riordan’s Cottage in Ardfert as visitors stepped back in time for Vintage Afternoon Tea in aid of the Kerry Parents and Friends Association.
The event over Saturday and Sunday saw 230 people visit the cottage to enjoy freshly made sandwiches, savoury snacks and a variety of desserts, all served in fine bone china tableware, with white linen tablecloths and lots of interesting memorabilia.
All the treats were homemade and donated to Josephine O’Riordan and the other organisers of the event, which was hosted for the sixth time.

An amazing €7,000 was collected in donations over the weekend, adding to the €28,000 already raised so far towards goods and equipment for the Kerry Parents and Friends Association Day Care Centre in Listowel as a thank you for their care of Josephine’s daughter Siobhan O’Riordan who passed away in May of 2025.
Siobhan attended the Day Care Centre for 20 years and made so many friends there. Josephine will also be making a donation to Ardfert GAA Field Development Fund.
Josephine and the team are grateful for the support of sponsors Horgan’s Centra and Agribusiness, Ned Horgan Meats, David Power Butchers, Lee Strand and Lidl as well as local musicians who entertained patrons. Scroll down for photos…
