IT’S a wildly exciting weekend for Under 15 sides from local GAA clubs as they head off to the John West Féile na nGael camogie and hurling competitions this weekend.
Tralee Parnells will be represented at the camogie event with their games taking place at Oran in Roscommon on Saturday.
“The dedication from the players and of course the coaches and the managers — Sinead Curtin, Brian Shanahan, Natalie O’Shea and David Brick — has been phenomenal,” said C0-Chairperson of the camogie club, Aine Lambe.

“We want to thank all the sponsors — Eamon Costello, Fairies Cross Medical Centre and Hugh Cullotys — for their support which means so much,” she added.
In their Division 5 group, the girls will play Padraig Pearses from Co Roscommon, Inniskeen from Co Monaghan and Eire Óg Greystones from Co Wicklow.
Tralee Parnells are not the only Kerry club heading up for the competition.
Cillard’s under-15 camogie team are also about to embark on what will hopefully be a great weekend when they head for Galway on Saturday to represent the county.
They will compete in Division 3 of Féile na Gael in a group made up by Crossmaglen, Four Roads and Raharney. The club thanked all those who have sponsored the trip especially local businesses. They also thanked parents for all their help raising funds and for their continued support to the girls and the club and to Sean and Angela Ryan of Aspen Grove who kitted out the girls for their trip.
They wished the girls and their mentors Steven Power, Martin Daly, Sinead Power, Maurice McElligott and Anne-Marie Russell all the best on Saturday.
