SCHOOLS from all over Kerry took part in the Corfhéile na mBunscoilleanna 2016 in the Ballygarry House Hotel for this year’s Seachtain Na Gaeilge.
Eight national schools performed, including four from the Tralee area – Blennerville National School, Presentation Primary School, Derryquay National School and Spa National School.
It was all part of Seachtain Na Gaeilge which is a national initiative that aims to promote the Irish language from March 1 all the way to Saint Patrick’s Day.
At the event, children performed traditional Irish songs along with a reworking of a modern hit as gaeilge.
