Fr Francis Nolan performed the blessing on the new facility with special guest on the day Minister Norma Foley giving an inspiring and hopeful speech, emphasising the great fun and memories that the pitch will generate for the children and teachers with the legacy of sporting activities it will create.
The lucky children clearly enjoyed the event and they obviously were all very excited at the prospect of using the wonderful pitch for their fun sport activities for the rest of their time at St Brendan’s National School, Fenit .
The junior infants were stars of the show cutting the ribbon with Minister Foley on a day which will live long in the memory of the school community. Scroll down for photos…
