AS always, there was a good turnout at Tralee Bay Wetlands on Friday evening for the Celebration of Light ceremony, organised by cancer support charity, Recovery Haven Kerry.
Run in conjunction with the Rose of Tralee International Festival, the Roses and their escorts were in attendance for the ceremony which unites those touched by cancer and to remember those we have lost.
They were joined at The Wetlands by their escorts; Rose of Tralee Chief Executive Anthony O’Gara, as well as 2026 Rose of Tralee judges Don O’Neill, Nuala Carey, Aisling Murphy and Maggie O’Flaherty and reigning Rose of Tralee, Katelyn Cummins.

The evening featured a very special performance from Kerry Choral Union, as well as a selection of readings from special guests.
There was an emotional lighting of candles and releasing of stones on the water, with the valued support of Banna Sea Rescue, during the ceremony. Scroll down for photos…
