PUPILS all over town are taking part in Science Week events and they were really getting into the spirit of things in the county’s biggest primary school on Wednesday.

“Today is our science open day and our children have been preparing in the classrooms with their teachers for the past week. They’re taking it in turns to exhibit their project throughout the morning to the school, parents and teachers,” she said.
“They really love it as it’s time when they go hands on. I suppose the bigger the mess the better for them – there’s a strong smell of vinegar, lots of fairy liquid and a few hard boiled eggs around the room. I’ve nothing but praise for the preparation they’ve put in,” added Aileen.
The children really seemed to be enjoying the fun and learning about science…while making a mess of course. Scroll down for photos…
