JUST one day to go until the group of judges give us the once over for our bid to become champion of Europe in the Entente Florale 2014.
The international Tidy Towns Competition aims to promote a greener and more pleasant environment in European towns and villages.
With this in mind, TraleeToday.ie took a drive along part of the route they’ll take and took a few photos of places that are looking particularly well.
The judges arrive on Wednesday but judging will take place on Thursday July 31 after a welcome event in The Square.
They can visit any part of the town but the prescribed judging route is the Castleisland approach, Manor West Retail Park, Killerisk Road, Manor Village, Castlemorris, Ballymullen, Clonmore Road, Dean’s Lane, Tobar Naofa, Moyderwell Primary School, Moyderwell/Boherbee, Upper Castle Street, St John’s Avenue, Town Park, Denny Street, Lower Castle Street, Ashe Street, The Mall, Bridge Street, The Square, Dominic Street, Denny Lane, Kerry County Museum, Siamsa Tíre Theatre, Ivy Terrace, Princes Quay, Blennerville, Ballyard Road, Tralee Bay Wetlands, Dan Spring Road, Ballymullen, Killerisk Road and Rathass.
Let’s make sure we’re in with a fighting chance by keeping the town looking its best over the next few days!

Hats off to the people in the old Town Council Offices on Princes Street. We’ve never seen it looking better.
