Rainfall Warning Issued But Kerry Should Escape The Worst

Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow Rain and Thunderstorm warning for Ireland, but it looks like we’ll escape the worst in Kerry.

Scattered heavy downpours and thunderstorms are expected in some areas of the country today, tonight and for a time on Thursday.

Localised flooding may occur where the rainfall is heaviest. The warning is valid from 9am this morning until noon on Thursday.

However, looking at the predicted rainfall radar on the Met Eireann website, it looks like we’ll only have a few showers in Kerry today, while tomorrow looks wetter.
