THE Roses have arrived in Kerry and have already taken in the sights of the Kingdom with a tour of the south of the county today.

The contestants checked into The Meadowlands Hotel last night where they will be based over the next week. They had an early start on Wednesday morning heading off on a bus to the depths of south Kerry.

Their first port of call were the Kerry Cliffs near Portmagee for some spectacular sightseeing. Next up was a stroll on Derrynane beach  before a spot of lunch at O’Carrolls Cove.

Then it was off to Coomakista viewpoint to take in the vista before a spot of sheep racing at An Siopa Dubh at Castlecove where Kildare Rose Catherine Cunningham won a woolly friend.

Then it was on to Sneem for a seaweed bath and boat trip which worked up an appetite for dinner at the Sneem Hotel.

They plan to stop off at Ladies view on the way back to base and will no doubt hit the hay early in anticipation of another tour on Thursday.
