A NEW sign was officially unveiled at part of the Tralee-Fenit Greenway on Monday by Mayor of Tralee, Cllr Jim Finucane.

The sign at Upper Rock Street (across from the Dunnes Stores entrance) was erected thanks to Tidy Tralee Together with the help of the Kerry County Council Community Support Fund.

The ‘Bealach Glas’ signage was unveiled just days before the official turning of the sod on the Tralee-Fenit Greenway, which will take place this Friday at 10.30am in Fenit, by Minister of State for Sport and Tourism, Brendan Griffin TD.

Mayor of Tralee, Cllr Jim Finucane, said; “This is precisely the sort of welcome investment in local community amenities which the Community Support Fund was designed to achieve. With the commencement of construction now beginning on the new Tralee to Fenit Greenway, this is a fantastic addition to the route and will enhance the visitor experience.”
