This takes place on Tuesday 5th of May in St Pats Field Blennerville, registration is at 5.45pm, Entry is €2 per child. For children of all ages U8-U16 and Special Tiny Tots Race. All Welcome.
Kerry G.A.A Football Player Development Academies 2026
Kerry GAA in conjunction with Munster GAA are running two Football Youth Camps this summer.
These are 4-day camps and will take place in The Kerry GAA Centre of Excellence, Curranes.
Dates:
Football Camp 1: June 23rd – 26th
Football Camp 2: August 4th – 7th
The Camps are open to Boys born 2011, 2012 and 2013.

U8 Girls
Great turnout for under 8 training today with plenty of skills & match practice before our upcoming blitz games on Monday 11th May. Welcome to Carlieann and Ava joining us today. Very well done to Suin our players of the week today who has really improved in her match play confidence in the last few weeks. Keep up the practice girls.
U10 Girls
The girls put in a great effort this morning demonstrating some excellent teamwork with strong kicking & hand passing. Well, Done. Very encouraging to see everyone getting time on the ball and enjoying themselves. Thank you to Na Gaeil for hosting.
U12 Girls
Our U12 girls are at home on Wednesday 6th of May against Duagh, at 6.30pm this is the start of their U12 Go Games fixtures.
U14 Boys
We are in a semi-final of the Central Region on Tuesday the 12th of May in Blennerville against John Mitchell’s. Time to be confirmed.
U16 Boys
Our U16s travelled to Keel last Thursday evening in Round 5 of the Central Region. The first half kept our lads on their toes needing to keep Keel at bay with a strong attack Keel weakened our defence and got scores past our goalkeeper.
Teamwork was evident on the field throughout the game, but Keel held and kept the lead. Notable scorers were Courage Breen and Michael Keane with goals. Conor Galvin, Ethan Harrington, David Muller, Padraig O’Connor created points on the board with great performances from Stephen Enright, Paddy Flynn, Tommy and Hugh Costello, James Daly, and Callum Rice. The team showed great resources to keep the ball in play but unfortunately Keel were too strong in the end.

St Pats made the journey to Kilgarvan a game of two halves to coming away with a hard-earned draw against Kilgarvan last weekend. Kilgarvan put up a two pointer and a goal quite quickly into the first half. Replies for Fergal O’Brien and Darragh Murphy in the form of points kept the teams close.
Another point for opposition with David Moriarty adding a point for St Pats. Kilgarvan pushed through for another point Fergal O’Brien with a free landed a two pointer over the bar and adding a point again soon after to the tally. Two more points came from the opposition in the form of points to end the first half. St Pats 0-06 Kilgarvan 1-06
A renewed St Pats team came out in the second half with a new determination not to let this game get away from them. Kilgarvan first to put a point on the board, Brian Murphy added his own point with Fergal O’Brien adding his own two points soon after. A Penalty for Kilgarvan would have allowed them the lead they needed, with a superb save from Paudi Bailey stopped them in their tracks.
They added two points quickly after the missed opportunity, David O’Callaghan from play putting a point on the scoreboard. Fergal O’Brien got three points from frees. A point from play for Kilgarvan and another penalty which would have proven crucial for the opposition to clench the win was saved once more by Paudi with a cheer from the crowd echoing in Kilgarvan grounds. To Best of success wished to our U16 player James Daly, who along with his fellow members of the ‘Mounthawk Masterminds’ team of students from Mercy Secondary School Mounthawk, who will be representing Ireland at the FIRST LEGO League Open International Championship in Greece this weekend.
FIRST LEGO League (FLL) is a global STEM competition where students design, build, and program robots while also developing innovative solutions to real-world problems. Teams are judged on Robot Design, Robot Game, Innovation Project, and Core Values such as teamwork, respect, and inclusion.
Following an extremely successful All-Ireland Final, the team was chosen based on their outstanding performance across all four areas of the competition. Being selected is a huge honour and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Since September, the team of seven students from 1st Year to Transition Year have spent many hours designing, building, and programming their LEGO Spike Prime robot to tackle a real-world problem: how archaeologists safely explore tight, dangerous, or unstable excavation spaces.
At the Open International in Greece, they will participate with 56 other teams from around the world. The event includes robot games, judging sessions, innovation presentations, and collaboration with teams from different countries, making it an incredible learning and cultural experience.
