Kerry G.A.A Football Player Development Academies 2026
Kerry GAA in conjunction with Munster GAA are running two Football Youth Camps this summer.
These are 4-day camps and will take place in The Kerry GAA Centre of Excellence, Curranes.
Dates:
Football Camp 1: June 23rd – 26th
Football Camp 2: August 4th – 7th
The Camps are open to Boys born 2011, 2012 and 2013.

U8 Girls
Congratulations to Katie, this week’s player of the week. Katie has worked very hard at her football lately especially at the blitz last Monday.
This week we tried to work at tackling, holding the ball in contact and kicking on the move, however the weather had other plans forcing more time in the stand than out on the field. Thanks everyone for showing up on such as miserable morning. Hopefully, the weather improves for next week.
U10 Girls
Thanks to everyone who braved the conditions this morning. Although the weather was not very appealing the girls were full of fun and mischief and managed to get some good hand passing practice in before the rain took over & we adjourned to the stand.!! Better days ahead hopefully.
U12 Girls
We had great numbers again this morning, super work from our u12 girls again this morning with help from some of our 10 girls for the 2nd game of the season. Everyone played a massive game, and they were all super, the passing, teamwork and skill on show was very impressive. The practice is really paying off girls.
Keep up the practice at home as that is really where ye will master the skills of the game. Thanks again to Lucy, Faye, Abi, Ava and Louisa our u10 girls who got their 1st experience at u12, the future looks bright, well done.
Finally, we all want to wish today’s captain Ava a big happy birthday. Well done girls UP THE PATS! Our next game is on Wednesday 20th of May at 6.30pm away to John Mitchels in our 3rd game of the GO Games Competition.
U14 Boys
St Pats hosted John Mitchels in Blennerville for the County League semi-final and put in a strong display to earn their spot in the final. John Mitchels started well with an early goal and a point. St Pats settled despite a tricky crosswind, with Noah Flynn’s goal levelling things up. From there, solid defending, sharp attacking and a great work rate saw St Pats take control. Noah added a second goal before half time, leaving it 2-07 to 1-03 at the break.
The lads kept the momentum in the second half, managing the game well to finish 4-11 to 1-11 winners. Darragh Flahive and Darragh Murphy both found the net after the break.

Fergal O’Brien scored a point in the opening minutes of this half with Valentia adding two points in quick succession.
Brian Murphy adding another point with Fergal O’Brien adding one point also. From a free Valentia put the ball over the bar for a two pointer and Fergal O’Brien converting a free into a point at the other end.

Conditions worsen in the second half with the rain pouring down which made it difficult for both teams to hold onto the ball.
Valentia quick to the scoreboard in the form of a point from Adrian Greaney. With two frees for Valentia sent the ball over the bar for a point twice.

Opposition kicking a point and a two pointer on the board for Valentia Young Islanders narrowing the gap between the two teams. Fergal O’Brien converted a free into a two pointer.
