A STATUS Yellow rain warning will take effect for Kerry and the rest of Munster in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The warning will be valid from 4am to 11am, but in the Tralee area, the rain should cleat by around 10am and it’s set to be a pleasant Sunday with spells of sunshine and temperatures in the mid-teens.
Met Éireann says there will be heavy thundery rain and blustery conditions with localised flooding poor visibility and difficult travelling conditions.
In addition, the combination of Spring tides, surge and strong onshore winds may result in wave overtopping along southern and southeastern coastlines.
