THE line-up for the next instalment of The Otherside just got a whole lot better with a top Kerry filmmaker, rower and comedian added to the bill.
Author of the Ross O’Carroll best selling books, Paul Howard, had already been announced for the event which takes place in Benners Hotel on Friday, October 27.
Now he will be joined by film director, Kerry native Gerard Barrett, rower Monika Dukarska, singer songwriter SON aka Susan O’ Neill and comedian Ronan Grace.

It’s another great line up of chat, music and comedy. The OtherSide is a new event for Tralee, in the style of a late-night talk show, set in a relaxed, intimate setting. It’s conversation done differently and admission is free.
Author Paul Howard, is probably best known as the creator of the legendary Ross O’ Carroll Kelly, whose epic adventures on and off the rugby fields have sold over 1 million books in Ireland alone.
Paul also won an Irish Book Award in 2016 for ‘I read the news today, oh boy’, his story of Tara Browne the socialite in 60s London, who died in a car crash at 21, and became the inspiration for The Beatles famous song ‘A day in the Life’. Paul is also a former Irish sports journalist of the year.
Film director, Kerry native Gerard Barrett will chat about his career to date, including his acclaimed movies Room on Fire, Glassland and Pilgrim Hill.
Also dropping in for a chat is Monika Dukarska, a Polish native who has settled in Killorglin and become a world rowing champion, and aspiring Olympian.
Music is from the hugely talented singer songwriter SON aka Susan O’ Neill, who is just back from recording in New York, and will be performing tracks from her brilliant debut album Found Myself Lost.
Ronan Grace, a rising star of the Irish comedy scene, returns to his hometown of Tralee to provide the laughs.
