REPRESENTATIVES from Tralee Chamber met with Kerry County Council this morning regarding the ongoing public realm works in the town centre.

They were informed that additional signage will be installed ahead of the Tralee Food Festival this weekend to support accessibility and visitor movement throughout the town, including around the Garda Station, Post Office and routes toward the Island of Geese.

Some barriers around the planters will also be repositioned to improve pedestrian flow.

They were told that paving works at The Brogue are progressing well this week and that section is expected to be substantially reopened next week, with only limited barriers remaining in place while the paving cures before vehicular access resumes.

Current works on Rock Street continue to progress with drainage and footpath installation, with future phases moving toward Gas Terrace, Bridge Lane and Bill Booley Lane.

These areas will ultimately see upgraded paving, lighting, restored parking and improved public spaces. The project remains on schedule for completion in Q2 2027.

Tralee Chamber is encouraging everyone to get into town this weekend for the Food Festival, support local businesses and enjoy everything the town centre has to offer.
