THE Traveller Pride Week celebration at Munster Technological University Kerry took place on Wednesday in the WHIT Building at the North Campus, bringing together members of the Traveller community, students, staff and local organisations in a celebration of culture, identity and achievement.

The event marked both Traveller Pride Week and the 30th anniversary of the Kerry Travellers Health & Community Development Project, recognising three decades of advocacy, support and community development work across Kerry.

Throughout the event, speakers and participants reflected on the importance of inclusion, equality and cultural recognition, while also celebrating the resilience and contributions of the Traveller community.

The atmosphere throughout the day had been one of pride, reflection and celebration, as attendees acknowledged the progress achieved over the past 30 years while also recognising the ongoing importance of community support, representation and opportunity for future generations.
