They launched KillarneyToday.com in March 2014, providing an invaluable news service for Killarney and indeed the whole county.

Over the years he has contributed to many national newspapers, TV and radio shows as well as building a successful media business in Kerry, working closely with Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce promoting events in the town.

A number of people have paid tribute online, with Cathaoirleach of Killarney Municipal District of Kerry County Council, Martin Grady, saying John O’Mahony was a true gentleman and treated everyone with respect and kindness.

He said his passing leaves a great void in the Killarney community, adding his contribution to the town will not be forgotten.
