IF you want to find out more about fostering, then next month sees a couple of events in Tralee which may interest you.

The Kerry Branch of Irish Foster Care Asscoiation (IFCA) is a voluntary group that meets on the second Friday of each month for a Coffee Morning in the Meadowlands Hotel.

To coincide with ‘Fostering Fortnight’ which takes place from March 4th – 15th, the next coffee morning at 11am on Friday, March 8, will have guest speaker Margaret Enright, the new Principal Social Worker at the Fostering Resource Unit.

Also, as part of Fostering Fortnight, the Child and Family Agency (CFA) will hold a Fostering Information Night in The Rose Hotel on Wednesday, March 13 from 7-9pm.

Fostering Fortnight is the annual awareness campaign run by the Irish Foster Care Association.

They aim to bring awareness to fostering in Ireland and all the valuable work being carried out every day in our fostering families and fostering communities.

Fostering Fortnight is a chance for all those involved in fostering and the communities that support them to tell their stories and share their experiences.
