Woodies Tralee Manager, Tadhg O’Regan, presents the cheque for €6,001 to Woodies CEO Declan Ronayne on Monday. Also included are Woodies Tralee staff and the Woodies Heroes Cyclists.

FOUR weeks of fundraising yielded thousands of euro for great charities as the Woodies Tralee Heroes Campaign came to an end on Monday.

The Tralee store held a table quiz, soccer tournament, monster instore raffle and more in aid of the four chosen charities — Make-A-Wish, Temple Street, Jack & Jill and Down Syndrome Ireland.

“We’re delighted to announce that we smashed our target and raised €6001 for our Heroes Fund. Well done to all the Tralee colleagues and thanks to all our customers and friends who have supported us these last four weeks,” said Tralee branch manager, Tadhg O’Regan.

They presented the cheque to the Woodie’s Heroes Cyclists on Monday when the group, including Woodie’s CEO Declan Roynane, called to the store.

The team are visiting every Woodie’s in Ireland this week collecting big cheques for funds raised in all Woodie’s stores. The total raised this year estimated at over €250,000.
